Privacy Policy

This policy describes what EngineerLM (engineerlm.com) collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: the minimum needed to run the service, nothing is sold or shared, and there are no ads or third-party analytics.

What we collect

• Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture reference. We use them to create and identify your account and to decide account approval. We do not receive your Google password or any other Google data.
• Chat conversations. Messages you send and the model's replies are stored in the service's database so your conversation history works.
• API keys and usage. API keys you create are stored with your account.
• Server logs. Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URLs) are kept for debugging and abuse prevention.
• Product usage events. Where usage measurement is enabled, the service records first-party events counting what happened - a public page was viewed, an account signed up, a calculation ran, a study was saved, a record was exported, a plan changed - against your account. These carry no engineering inputs, no study names or contents, no message text, no keys and no email address, and no IP address or user agent. Measurement is first-party only: no third-party analytics service, no tracking script and no additional cookie.

How prompts are processed

Prompts and chat messages are processed by a self-hosted language model on private infrastructure. They are not sent to third-party AI providers, and they are not used to train models.

What we do not do

• No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties.
• No advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
• No cookies beyond the session and CSRF cookies required for the site to function.

Google user data

EngineerLM's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account information is used only to provide sign-in and account management, is never transferred to others or used for advertising, and no humans read it except as needed for security or to comply with law.

Retention and deletion

Conversations, API keys, and account data are kept while your account exists. To delete conversations, your account, or any data we hold about you, email the address below and it will be removed.

Security

All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Data lives on access-restricted servers, and prompts travel to the model over an encrypted private tunnel. No system is perfectly secure, but access to your data is limited to the administrator.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
